Your role:

We are truly an agile company without hierarchy and bureaucracy. We work in small autonomous and cross-functional teams including Product Owner, Agile Coach/Scrum Master, UX/Designer, Developers and Dev/Ops functions.

As an agile coach you will part of these cross functional team(s) and responsible for ensuring that your team embraces agile development practices throughout the product life-cycle including; planning, execution, launch, and support.

You really care about the team and know how to motivate them. You can engage with teams and management to promote agile and lean thinking. Keen to train and coach the team on agile values, principles, practices, and tools.

You will play a key role in the acceleration of Bannerflow’s growth agenda and expand the product offering to the worldwide market.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily stand-up (scrum/Kanban style) meetings.
  • Ensure iteration-based meetings (story grooming, iteration open/close, retrospectives) are effectively facilitated, the outcomes are achieved, and their cadence is maintained.
  • Provide coaching on agile values and practices while emphasising continuous improvement.
  • Support and assist Product Owners with backlog maintenance, backlog prioritisation, and use story refinement process to deliver highest business value.
  • Ensure that the team(s) embrace the agile product lifecycle, and coach them to deliver to their full potential.
  • Promote teamwork to achieve sprint goals and lead the teams towards agile maturity.
  • Facilitate dependency reviews, technical designs and definitions, demos to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate frequent retrospectives, sharing metrics to identify and implement improvements.
  • Empower the team to self-organise and become cross-functional.
  • Proactively identify and remove blockers, limits work in progress and prevent distractions.
  • Be an advocate of Automation, Automated Testing, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery and use experiences to support the teams in these areas.


Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of the software development process and project management skills within software development.
  • Good knowledge of agile framework and methods (i.e. Scrum, Kanban).
  • Ability to understand and communicate the big picture, and work with attention to detail when needed.
  • Strong leadership skills, organisational skills and the ability to influence across the organisation.
  • Experiences from agile backlog management tools (JIRA).
  • Self-motivated, goal orientated, quality driven.
  • Open and transparent communication style with the ability to productively converse with both business stakeholders and engineers alike.
