Sencept develops Intelligent Radar sensors for autonomous systems. The radar design is based on novel hardware and AI based software architecture that enables high resolution radar imaging in dense environments. Sencept’s goal is to improve road safety towards Vision Zero policy by enabling autonomous systems perceive the environment in 3D and in harsh lighting and weather conditions.

Do you want to design the Next Generation of Radar Sensors for Autonomous Driving?

Autonomous systems such as self-driving cars will improve safety and the efficiency of our infrastructures. These systems heavily rely on sensors to interpret the environment and make reliable decisions. Among these sensors radars are the most cost-efficient and robust sensor against harsh environmental conditions. A reliable performance of a radar system is obtained by its hardware and software design and implementation. On the software side, key factors include estimation, detection and tracking of moving and stationary targets.

In this project you will analyse application-oriented tracking algorithms based on simulated as well as measured radar data. The goal of the project is to implement the optimal approach on the existing radar framework.

Project Steps:

  1. Design the algorithms on synthesized data.

  2. Analyse different tracking algorithms to select the optimal approach.

  3. Apply the selected algorithm on the actual data recorded by the radar.

  4. Integrate the selected tracking method to our existing framework.

  5. Documentation and presentation of results
