We are looking for a Back-End Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be development of server-side logic, definition and maintenance databases, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to frontend requests.

Freya is a femtech company situated in Stockholm, Sweden with the aim to promote women's health. Our main goal is to improve information and advice around female health, building tools for accessible and equal healthcare. Our team consists of doctors, midwives and engineers who are passionate about having an impact on women’s healthcare.

We are looking for a Back-End Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be development of server-side logic, definition and maintenance databases, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests.

What you will be doing

• Integrating the front-end with server side logic.
• Optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Ensure quality, performance and security of the app.
• Ensure continuous delivery of new builds.
• Help us keeping a flexible, consistent codebase.
• Develop automated routines (CI, continuous integration, reproducible builds, etc).

Your skills

Preferably you have skills in:

• Backend work using Python and frameworks such as Django, Djano REST
• RESTful APIs (designing, providing, consuming)
• Common build automation and unit testing tools
• Experience developing cloud services on Amazon AWS.
• Git for code versioning

We are currently in alpha-mode, and still open to improve and change our tech stack: If you don't have experience in any of the languages or frameworks mentioned above but think that you are up for the challenge of delivering quality backend solutions for our apps, you are very welcome to apply anyway!
