As the business developer and co-owner with the potential of being a CEO, this job will give you the opportunity to make a difference to peoples lives, in places where it really matters.


With the vision of “providing clean water for the world” Stockholm Water Technology AB (SWT) has developed a membrane free technology that can treat a vast array of contaminated waters starting with desalination and deionization. SWT combines nanotechnology enabled materials with a smart engineering design to enable competitive and versatile products which benefit both the user and the environment, lead to cost and water savings in addition to giving the user the ability to define the output water quality. Currently our fundamental technology, as well as our core product is in place and now it is about developing a strong go-to-market strategy, building the team and executing sales.

 

What have we done so far?

Over the past 2 years:

We have built a team of 2 candidate employees and 2 core members with concrete experience in nanotechnology-based materials, hardware & software architecture, product and solution development and marketing.

  • We have transitioned the technology from a laboratory to a core-product and have generated substantial interest with early adopters in the home and industrial segments.

  • Installed a custom-built water purification system to an early adopter in the Food & Beverage industry who sold over 14000 liters of purified drinking water using our product.

  • Secured over 1 MSEK in soft funding from VINNOVA.

  • In discussions with KTH Holding to bring them as a co-owner of the company with equity

 

What’s our next challenge?

We are now in a time to ramp up our road to commercialization, where we need a sales-oriented business developer and a potential founding partner. We have found multiple applications of our platform and see several market opportunities and different potential business models and strategies. The task now is to find and demonstrate our capability in the niche initial applications, initiate the appropriate business model, raise money and build a trust in the market, from where we can scale up both production and sales.

 

Your challenge

We’re looking for a company builder with experience from early stage business development and a generalist not afraid to take on any challenge. We need someone who can take charge of the sales and marketing strategies, find and initiate partnerships in key sectors, decide on the best market entry strategies, and in parallel pursue industrialization of our platform. As a business developer and potential CEO you are responsible for administrating the company but also accelerating business development and growing the company. Task will include:

  • Leading marketing and sales

  • Capitalization and investor relations

  • Pursue new opportunities in markets and partnerships

  • Support in scaling production and supply chain development.

  • In charge of strengthening the team through recruitment.

  • Managing basic company finances

 

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate and we expect you to be an entrepreneur with result focused mindset and a strong drive to take the company to the next phase. You will need to take ownership of the business development and orient the company towards sales both in the local and international markets. Hence fluency in English and Swedish with a demonstrated flair for developing and maintaining customer relations across multiple domains is necessary. Experience in start-up capitalization via financing rounds and government funding would be looked upon favorably.
