We are looking for a Cloud / DevOps Engineer to build our cloud infrastructure, and prepare it to cope with the fast growing demands that arise from scaling Gleechi’s VirtualGrasp software as a product. You will join in the accelerating stage of a startup that just received a major funding to accelerate growth internationally. You will report directly to our CPO as a part of our new product team that keeps full responsibility of Gleechi’s software as a product, with strong links and communication to all other members of our diverse team of ca. 20 people, be it VR developers, ML engineers, or sales and business teams. You will take the technical lead on building up the backend infrastructure that will allow Gleechi to make the next big step on its path to becoming the standard solution for hand interaction in virtual reality games, virtual reality training, stroke rehabilitation, and robotics.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Participate in the design, planning and implementation of new or changing systems
• Define and evaluate integration strategies and architecture enhancements to meet mission objectives
• Collaborate with Core/VR teams to build, operate and deliver the next generation of Cloud infrastructure and services for scaling
• Develop technical plans to guide development and integration activities
• Ensure engineering standards are being followed, and documented
• Conduct requirement analysis and capacity planning
• Respond quickly and effectively to production issues
• Develop, upgrade and enhance the existing IT infrastructure
• Develop technology plans and roadmaps for migration of systems
• Proactively stay current on new technology and methodologies
• Manage release meetings and working with teams to gather release requirements and dependencies
• Pave a path for team (VR/ML) engineers to self-service their own needs, including e.g. build servers
• Find opportunities to automate tasks to reduce toil and remove human error
• Break down walls!

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience Public Cloud platforms
• Desire to be part of a DevOps culture and a passion for CI/CD
• Background/experience in Private Cloud virtualization technologies
• Experience of Linux and Windows Platforms, Storage and Networking
• Ability to develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code and Configuration Management
• Working knowledge of: Nginx, Database platforms (Redis / Cassandra / Couchbase), Octopus / Jenkin / GitLab / Stackdriver
• Experience with infrastructure and application monitoring and logging
• Ability to work with minimal or no supervision on multiple concurrent complex projects and to coordinate the work of others in this environment
