What we have accomplished

Newsvoice is available in a first version as a website, iOS and Android apps. Currently with about 1400 monthly readers. We are in the process of building a community of volunteers that contribute content in the form of summaries, links, and stories.

The messaging around Newsvoice is very well received, and we got very positive feedback from our early users. Newsvoice has received pre-seed funding through Sting Accelerate / Propel Capital.

What’s the challenge?

The main challenges are to continue to grow the community and to find the next round of financing. We are initially targeting American students that are interested in journalism and upset about the current state of the media.

A first milestone is to find enough volunteers to have all top stories on Newsvoice summarized and with links to quality sources. The next step is to find volunteers willing to help with recruitment, marketing, and social media.

Skills & Requirements

We are looking for one or two more co-founders who are passionate about news and social impact. We think:

• You have solid experience in growing communities, social media, and business development.
• Your written English is at a high level.
• You have a good eye for graphic design.

Bonus points for growth hacking or basic coding skills.

About the company

Newsvoice is founded by Viktor Lidholt, a former Silicon Valley Google engineer with 15+ years experience in software development. He has held guest lectures at MIT, UC Berkeley, and Carnegie Mellon, as well as conferences all over the world.
