WHAT WE DO
Here at Mavenoid, we’re building the world’s most intelligent—and human-friendly—troubleshooting system, transforming the way problems are solved through a symbiosis of human and machine. We partner with some of the most important industrial organizations in the world to transform how they discover the root cause of brokenness. Our software has been used to repair everything from robotic lawn mowers and dishwashers to cloud-connected trucks and military tanks.
OVERVIEW
It is very important for us to maintain a deep understanding of our customers’ problems as we grow, and to achieve that we are building customer proximity into our organisational DNA. We are looking for a people-oriented engineer who can tour around to our customers about 50% of the time to hang out with them and see how our product is being used (and abused).
We want you to go out there and bring back how we can make Mavenoid even better specifically for each customer while providing added value to our service with your technical capacity. Identify and solve real problems for our customers onsite.
HOW TO DO THIS
Ask around, survey people, observe them at work. Test and deploy solutions. Build/prototype quickly to see if it works, and if it does, bring the learnings to the mothership to integrate them into the core of our offering. Bring cupcakes to offices and be nice to people, make them want to have you there – all is fair in Customer Success Engineering and entrepreneurship.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Front-end development and rapid prototyping within it, we develop in Javascript/React
- Solid understanding of our tech (if you grasp the basics of Machine Learning, we can teach you the specifics)
- Customer-centric approach. You need to care about our customers at least as much as you care about the fancy tech
- Capacity to observe user behaviour and elicit the needs behind it
- Ability to generate and test metrics-based product hypotheses
- Bias towards quick iteration and a shoot-from-the-hip attitude
- Technical competence with data integration work (bonus)

Travel: Up to 50% of the time

Reports to: Chief Technical Officer
The first step of the recruitment process is a 20 minute logic test. Once you have applied you will receive an email with further instructions, allow a day or two for it to arrive and keep a lookout in your spam folder just in case.
