Embedded Systems Engineering Intern

Salary Competitive

Sencept develops Intelligent Radar sensors for autonomous systems. The radar design is based on novel hardware and AI based software architecture that enables high resolution radar imaging in dense environments. Sencept’s goal is to improve road safety towards Vision Zero policy by enabling autonomous systems perceive the environment in 3D and in harsh lighting and weather conditions.

Do you want to design the Next Generation of Radar Sensors for Autonomous Driving?

Autonomous systems such as self-driving cars will improve safety and the efficiency of our infrastructures. These systems heavily rely on sensors to interpret the environment and make reliable decisions. Among these sensors radars are the most cost-effective and robust sensor against harsh environmental conditions. A reliable performance of a radar system is obtained by its hardware and software design and implementation. On the software side, key factors include estimation, detection and tracking of moving and stationary targets.

In this project you will be involved in analysing sampled radar data as well as implementation of signal processing algorithms on such data on an embedded system.

Main Responsibilities

  • Getting familiar with the hardware platform

  • Studying required algorithms and conducting simulations if needed

  • Implementing the algorithms in the firmware

  • Verifying the implementation

  • Optimizing the implementation with respect to the hardware specifications

  • Documenting the results

Required Skills And Qualifications

You are interested in working with an agile and competitive team. You would also like to learn how to consider the limits of radar technology from both a hardware and software perspective.

  • Currently pursuing a BS or higher in Embedded Electronics Engineering

  • Knowledge in C focused on embedded applications and Python skills

  • Familiar with digital signal processing

  • Good documentation skills and experience with Git or SVN

  • Familiar with both Windows and Linux environments

  • Strong team player, highly motivated and self initiative

  • Knowledge of hardware is a big plus
