Lunchback facilitates and connects professionals who are eager to meet new people over face-to-face meetings. Our product thinking spans across B2C, B2B and Events. Right now, we are a small agile team working full time on this product through an iterative process.

Guan Xi

Through our business and product vision we’ve set out to shape a product that helps people build meaningful relationships that means more than a stack of business cards. We hold the Chinese word Guanxi (关系) close to heart. A word which describes meaningful relationships that individuals cultivate with other individuals. It emphasises implicit mutual obligations, reciprocity and trust. It’s how you set yourself up for success.

Despite guanxi being a Chinese word, it is a universal concept which exists in every culture.

Our position

We think that for too many years, people have been left with products designed around chasing quick rewards in the shape of likes and superficial connections. We believe that there is a wish and eagerness in people to create deeper and more meaningful connections. Seeking meaning is in our human DNA, it’s what we have done since the times of campfires and beyond.

We don’t believe that building a network is a popularity contest. Building a network is a process, something you keep cultivating throughout life. Your best strategies doing this are being genuine, curious, and authentic.

What we are looking for

We are looking for t Frontend Developer who’s got passion and curiosity for building products with great user experience. An enthusiastic team player and self starter who thrives when working in fast paced environments. Desirably someone who sees themself using tech to contribute to a better world, with better products, that do things better.

The role

Owner of everything frontend! Part of the team discussions on design and technical topics, informing them about the frontend aspects. Wide experience through exploring different frameworks. Our frontend stack is currently React, Webpack, and a bit of LESS. We’re open to hear your input on our current stack if you see it fit for improvement. You love implementing designs, and do so with attention to detail. Responsive, mobile-first thinking and know-how. You’ll be working closely with our tech lead and design director to develop, deploy, run and maintain UI and interaction aspects of our products.

You have a genuine interest in developing great user experiences and a passion for solving people-centric problems through tech and design. You appreciate the entrepreneurial spirit and feel comfortable in a dynamic, high performance and goal-oriented environment. You have an open personality, are curious, and willing to develop — good at taking and giving feedback. You enjoy working in an environment where everything can happen. We strongly appreciate proactivity! You have a natural tendency to systemise and create structure. You are ambitious and creative, and care about personal growth to become an owner/lead if you don’t already feel like one. You are keen to find solutions and new ways to get the job done.

- Frontend development for web (React, Webpack, LESS)

- Interaction design in collaboration with our design director
