Currently, we reach out to the equivalent of triple Sweden’s growing area, working across Europe and Asia. Within this customer base, we can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 1.3 million tonnes of CO2 per year, about the same as Maltas’ yearly emissions.


The position

Vultus is developing a world class solution to eliminate waste in farming. Utilizing modern microservices architecture on cloud computing environment, we are deploying our remote sensing and agronomy research finding at a large scale. The scope of the position is to aid the development team in connecting Vultus REST API to the front-end, handling user inputs, API development and deployment as well as continuing to add functionality to Vultus Web application. As an early member of the team, you will gain large amounts of freedom, thus, it is important that you have a high quality of work and are comfortable with responsibilities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Experience with APIs
  • Develop excellent map based functionalities with emphasis on scalability and modularity
  • Maintain and develop web app backend
  • Optimize web app UI
  • Process specifications and feedback from users and business team
  • Initiate development of an open source community around Vultus API

 

Qualifications

  • MS degree in IT Systems Development/Computer Science
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in full-stack webdev
  • 2 years experience with Js frameworks preferably Vue.Js
  • 2 years experience with Node Js
  • Experience with Async functions, JSON, REST APIs, Github
  • High familiarity working with databases, preferably MongoDB
  • Experience with Js libraries such as npm

 

Meritable

  • Preferably experienced with Geo-technologies such as Open Street Map, Leaflet, GEOJSON, raster data, BLOB
  • Preferably worked in an open source community before
  • Experienced with Visual Studio Code IDE
  • Fluent in HTML/CSS and Javascript ES8 +
  • Strong ability to work autonomously and keep excellent documentation
