As Operations Manager, you will provide day to day management of the logistics department. This includes managing the third-party warehouse operations, maintaining sound relationships with all internal departments, understanding the logistical business requirements of every department to hit targets across all channels, and ensuring efficient and effective service across the business.

What are the key responsibilities?

- Establishing and developing the operations function of the business.

- Dealing directly with retail customers, distributors, suppliers and third-party storage providers to ensure the smooth completion of all orders, timely issue of invoices and that POs are booked in on time.

- Responsible for inventory accuracy including PI counts and organising stocktakes when appropriate.

- Work closely with the third-party partners to manage UK and international distribution and ensure best practice is being followed for customer deliveries e.g. e-com packing standards, wholesale order dispatches, cost effective carrier choices. This will require occasional travel within the UK and possibly further afield.

- Strong and demonstrable understanding of import and export operations and requirements including tariff codes and customs clearance requirements to oversee and manage international freight.

- Responsible for managing projects in line with the project roadmap.

- Ownership of delivery schedules including openings and launches.

- Manage the warehouse budget with responsibility for monthly reporting analysis and communication to other business departments to support their understanding of all warehousing and transport costs associated with their channel, in line with planned budgets.

- Forecasting, forward ordering and maintaining adequate stock levels within cash-flow and currency constraints. Resolving any stock discrepancies.

- Identifying areas of potential cost cutting and efficiency savings.

What key skills are WE ARE PARADOXX looking for?

- Minimum of 5 years operational experience in retail logistics/supply chain

- Excellent knowledge of UK & International Logistics, including customs procedures and requirements.

- Good problem-solving skills and lateral thinking

- Excellent communication skills and calm under pressure

- Highly organised with strong project management skills

- Must be proficient in Microsoft office, particularly Excel

The Candidate

The candidate needs to be very much ‘hands on’ with strong leadership skills, management experience and with a solutions-orientated mind-set. The ability to show initiative and manage fluid sales and operational processes during a period of fast growth is essential. The candidate’s attributes must include strong communication skills, the ability to resolve complex operational issues, and, the ability to take ownership of the Operations department. Keeping the management team fully briefed on any significant departmental issues is also a key requirement. Given the nature of a young brand, there will be occasion to work out-with regular working hours.
