Karma is on a mission to transform the way the world thinks about food consumption.

We are looking for Launcher Associates to help Karma accelerate its mission to reduce food waste globally. Entering new markets is a key lever for the Karma’s overall growth and you will play a pivotal role in helping to identify which markets to enter, plan entry, and execute the launch

As Launcher Associate you will split your time between analysis and execution. You will be comfortable interpreting huge amounts of data and information to make practical and pragmatic recommendations with the VP International Expansion about which markets Karma should enter

You will help build the plan for market entry alongside the International Expansion Playbook, from setting up operations and a new office, to helping build the local team, to adapting the go-to-market strategy and consumer brand positioning. And finally, you will do whatever it takes to help get the market started - you will be a hustler who is comfortable jumping into new tasks each day across sales, marketing, PR, legal, operations and more

You are an all-rounder, equally comfortable going deep on food health and safety regulations, competitor analysis, going door-to-door to pitch the first restaurants in a new market, and planning launch event for media.

Your role will include:

• Analysis of future markets for international expansion including market sizing, competitive analysis, regulations, payments etc.
• Competitor monitoring
• Setting up operations including company registration, tax, regulatory, legal, establishing first office etc.
• Finding and closing first customers in market
• Establish first relationships with media
• Plan and execute launch event
• Screening and qualifying first key hires in market: GM and Account Executives

The Ideal Candidate

Your background and previous experience

• Degree from top-tier university
• Demonstrated analytical expertise (e.g. 2-3 years in technology company, consulting banking, etc.)
• Fluent in English and at least 1 (preferably 2) of German, French and Spanish
• Evidence of outstanding performance both academically and professionally
• Evidence of entrepreneurial ambition
• Experience in a high growth consumer oriented startup
