Nordic Adventours is not only making it easy but actually fun to look for adventure and outdoor activities and to plan entire trips in Scandinavia and Finland. Modern tools enable us to be remotely organized, but our base is Science Park in Jönköping.

On NordicAdventours.com we just launched the first version of our platform. Now we are looking for a full-stack developer to support our co-founder and CTO Benedict and his team with the improvement and further development of the platform. As a passionate tech company, we naturally need some technical talents who love to show and refine their skill and help us to make Nordic Adventours the best adventure travel platform out there!

About you

• Interested in developing a long-term cooperation with the possibility to be employed full-time in the near future
• We are looking for you who is motivated to take initiative, bring forward own ideas and work independently
• You are willing and able to work mostly from wherever you are, or in Jönköping’s Science Park
• Fluent in English

Your Technical Expertise

Backend

• Backend related programming, Databases, or API Calls (Google Maps, Twitter, Facebook, others)
• Expertise in standard PHP and mySQL Databases and preferably PHP related frameworks (Laravel)

Frontend 

• You enjoy working on the Frontend (User Interface) and are skilled in developing creative solutions
• Experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Jquery for the frontend
• Experience in the Bootstrap framework (in which Nordic Adventours layout is defined)

General

• It is a plus to have experience in CMS related systems such as for example Wordpress
• Some experience with version control systems like Git / Github or Bitbucket is preferred
• Previous experience with the development of booking systems or the implementation of payment gateways is a huge plus!

Tasks

• Craft completely new features on the platform, extend and improve existing ones
• Work with CMS systems such as Wordpress to create entirely new customized pages
• Working with mySQL databases and managing data
• Come up with ways to implement Social Media or Tourism APIs natively into the platform
