Product Manager at Yepstr

Yepstr is looking for an analytical person who wants to push the understanding of our users and their needs, and ensure we direct our efforts towards the areas with the largest improvement opportunity.

As our Product Manager you will be the guardian of the overall vision and roadmap for our product. Your primary focus will be to prioritize our product development efforts, ensuring that we learn as we go. Although you will work most closely with our Designer and the Product team - you will also spend time with our Growth team (who are curious about understanding more about our users) as well as our CEO (who is the guardian of our LARGE vision). As you can imagine, a key challenge will be finding the right balance between large vision and incremental delivery. 

We are looking for someone who like to combine hardcore data with qualitative input from users and a dose of gut-feel (70% certainty is good enough!). Someone who really likes the intellectual challenge of getting into our users heads and understanding why some solutions work so much better than others.

Although we expect you to be able to work autonomously you will have our, very much, engaged community giving you the opportunity to conduct user tests and interviews with our existing users. Together with our analytical tools (we like Mixpanel and Appsflyer) we will depend on you to stay a few steps ahead of the rest of the team and ensure we channel our efforts towards the most high-impact areas.

We envision you being someone who likes to be in control and excited about being able to really take initiative - whether it be calling together the team for a group discussion or inviting our users over to us for a “fika”. You will be surrounded by a great, ambitious and curious team who loves to listen, discuss ideas and help out in anyway they can. At Yepstr you’ll both give and receive tasks from others. Collaboration is crucial. You’ll share your learnings and victories on team meetings and smaller focus groups. This is a workplace where you have the chance to grow as a team mate and Product Manager.

Responsibilities 

• Ownership of the product vision and roadmap
• Uniting the team around this vision and roadmap through engaging and involving in discussion and workshops
• Conducting product experiments to further our user understanding
• Evaluating impact of implemented features and experiments and sharing with the team
• Working very closely with our Designer to map out user flows 
• (Nice to have - not a requirement) Creating quick-and-dirty sketches of possible solutions to identified issues that the Designer can improve upon

We are looking for someone who ...

• Is autonomous and a self-starter. Someone who can create a plan for themselves and hold themselves accountable for execution.
• Likes being in control. Enjoys creating a plan and then checking in and following up how we performed against it.
• Can show previous relevant experience and has worked with mobile devices in some capacity (web, iOS and/or Android)
• Shows optimism and spreads energy. Working in a startup is a marathon so it’s important to have fun along the way :)
• Is fluent in English (Swedish is a plus)
• Is a team player. We are a small growing company - We take care of each other, listen and help out. To take and give feedback is a natural part of our work.

Big plus if you have...

• Education within an analytical field (business, engineering or similar)
• Previous product management experience
• Previous startup experience
• Previous quantitative and qualitative user research experience (user interviews, A/B testing etc.)
