Akuret is an analytics company that uses proprietary business AI to help retailers and their suppliers identify and fix on-shelf-availability problems that cannot be seen in their current systems due to inventory inaccuracy.

As Tech Lead you will be working closely with most parts of our business and your work will range from actively writing code daily, to creating our technical vision, setting our technical priority and scoping solutions. We will trust you to help us balance the need for speed in the short run with quality and performance in the long run, including setting a strategy for our technical architecture and aligning technical principles that we should adhere to for long term success.

Maybe you are an experienced Tech Lead looking for a new challenge in a more dynamic setting or you are a senior developer ready to take on the role as Tech Lead. We think that you are a jack of all trades but still a master of backend and handling big datasets. Either way we would love to get to know you, learn more about who you are and what drives you, as well as tell you more about who we are, where we are going and how we believe we can make create great value for retailers and their suppliers.

At Akuret, you will:

• Work closely with the Chief Scientific Officer and Chief Marketing Officer to determine development priorities and deliverables,

• Set and develop our system architecture,

• Help to translate business needs to software requirements,

• Perform software coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance tasks,

• Lead/manage software development process and software development team

  members, and

• Communicate expected development timelines, and any changes.

On the technical side, we see that you:

• Are a full stack developer. Strong in backend and comfortable in frontend,

• Are knowledgeable in Python, React and MySQL but have the opportunity to

  decide our tech stack going forward,

• Knowledgeable in software development frameworks and methodology,

• Have great experience in relational databases,

• Have great experience in cloud deployment (e.g., Amazon Webservices),

• Are comfortable with big datasets. Great plus if you are very comfortable!

  (e.g. routine ingestion and operations on 100 million+ data points),

• Get a plus for experience with parallel computing, and

• Also get a plus for experience with SaaS security.
