Monta will use the EUR 80M funding to double down on its successful software-only strategy by strengthening investments in all markets and improving and expanding its product to new sectors ready to embark on an electrified future.

About the role

As a member of our growing Web team (part of Growth), your work will have a direct and meaningful impact on Monta's image, as well as tens of thousands of EV drivers and business customers every month, as we continue to scale to new markets, reach new audiences and increase our web presence. You will take ownership of the technical development of new features, solutions and integrations, which are contributing to Monta’s vision for seamless and effortless charging experiences.

Imagine building Help Centers with predictive search recommendations, which rely on machine translation for effortless and cost-effective translations at scale. Imagine building complex interfaces with advanced filtering, where EV drivers can make informed purchasing decisions using Monta-owned data. Imagine building interactive product tours, where visitors can get a first-hand experience of the Monta app or platform. These, and many more are just some of the web experiences we’re super excited to build, but we need your help!

You will work in an agile environment composed of weekly sprints, with regular sessions for alignment, collaboration and support. Your work will be equally split between back-end and front-end, therefore a solid understanding of the entire web stack is essential for the success of this role. The role is for our Copenhagen office, and you will be reporting to our Head of Website & SEO.

So what does the job entail?

  • Collaboration with passionate web designers, growth marketers, SEO specialists and product engineers in bringing impactful and unique web experiences to life.
  • Owning the development and maintainence of our CMS (Wordpress) with all its subsites.
  • Performing regular security, technical, and performance audits and ensure our website remains robust, secure, and operates at maximum efficiency as we continue to scale.
  • Developing and maintaining our global component libraries and ensure effective, cohesive and user-friendly interfaces across all website touchpoints and markets.
  • Advancing our web tracking, reporting and experimentation capabilities.
  • Playing a key role in elevating our web presence by implementing new QA strategies, troubleshooting issues, and upholding our commitment to high standards of quality.
  • Helping to shape the future direction of our CMS, its development process and the web technologies we use.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of PHP.
  • Experience with MySQL databases.
  • Experience with the Wordpress ecosystem, Headless CMSs, plugin & theme development & best practices.
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JS and modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind).
  • Familiarity with modern web development frameworks (React, Vue, Node, Next.js).
  • Experience with Restful APIs, JSON and task scheduling (cron jobs).
  • Experience with web performance optimisation (async, efficient code, caching & CDNs).
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Very strong communication skills in English, both written and oral.
  • Knowledge of what great web experiences look and feel like.
  • Willing to experiment and learn a lot.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to details.
