Backend Mentor & Architect

The Role:

As a Mentor you will play a critical role in supporting our small team of developers. Your primary responsibility will be to provide hands-on guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise, ensuring the successful implementation of the core foundation and key features in our sound based mobile application.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with our founder, backend and frontend developer to define and implement scalable backend solutions to support our application functionalities.
Architect and optimize the backend infrastructure using Supabase and PostgreSQL.
Conduct virtual hands-on sessions with junior developers.
Review implementations and ensure best practice.
Motivate and stimulate a good working environment for the 1-2 developers that you will be mentoring.

Who We're Looking For:

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with:

At least 5 years of experience as a backend or fullstack developer.
Proficiency in PostgreSQL is required, familiarity with Supabase is a plus.
Strong SQL skills are needed to utilize all functionality of PostgreSQL and Supabase.
Experience with backend development using Node.js, Python is a plus but not required.
Familiarity with RESTful system required. Experience with real time protocols is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and guide and mentor junior developers.
Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts and solutions.
Curiosity and motivation to pass on your skills to support the growth of others
