250 million children globally cannot read or write. At Lara we are working to democratize education by building a digital educational platform that is accessible and effective. We believe in the power of grassroots, and with our open source approach we are not just aiming at accessing the world’s greatest educational minds, tech geniuses and world changers, but to scale and grow organically, to reach the unreachable, and empower millions of little minds to build their futures.

We are looking to expand our team with an Educational content lead, to help us form a strategy for educational content development. In simpler words, how do we create and convert great content from or community and content partners into an exciting learning experience for our users? And how do we strategize, identify and develop such key content partnerships? That’s what we’re looking for your help to answer.

What would a typical day be like?

Most probably, no day would be the same! Your main responsibilities would be to have the overall management of the content on the platform from an educational perspective, to formulate how the content can be developed to meet the educational needs and levels of the users, and take advantage of the opportunities that new educational research and technology brings.

You would also work with the tech team, with partners and the community to realize our visions for the platform. Finding, building and signing key content partnerships with organizations and companies would also be an integral part of your work.

• Have experience from teaching or educational development for primary school children
• Have experience from product development. Acting as product owner or similar role is an extra merit
• Love to build relationships based on respect, trust and mutual conviction for our cause
• Are a creative thinker with a structured approach and a strategic mind
• Enjoy organizing projects, and setting and following up on goals together with your team
• Are able to communicate our ideas, our vision and our actions in an effective and inspiring way in text and speech
• Have complete respect for and embrace cultural differences, with an extra plus if you have experience from working in developing countries
• Have passion and drive to create lasting positive impact
