Who we are 🤔

“The Spotify of logistics”. That’s how Göteborgs-Posten (local newspaper) choose to describe us. Maybe, it’s because we’re now one of Gothenburg’s fastest growing tech startups.

So, what does Sendify do? Well, we have built a smart freight booking system, which makes shipping as simple as booking a taxi with Uber or booking an apartment through airbnb For our customers, small-medium-businesses, shipping becomes effortless, so that they can spend less time and money on logistics and more time on growing their businesses.

Our HQ is located at Vasagatan in Gothenburg, where we are 18 employees (3 of us sit in Lviv, Ukraine). We all share the vision to empower small companies through smart logistics, and together build a creative and innovative workspace. We strive for an inspiring and including startup culture, and we are proud of our initiative Women’s Startup Club and our participation at events, e.g Gbg Tech Week.

You live and breath user-facing web-products and keep up with current and future trends within your industry. But, instead of constantly jumping on the newest trend, you have a more critical approach, carefully reviewing and contemplating how and if new technologies could be applied to improve your work.

What will you do as a Frontend Engineer at Sendify?

• You’ll build customer-facing interfaces that make shipping fast, easy and trustworthy. With the small shipper, always in mind.

• You’ll collaborate with design-, product-, and research partners to shape the products driving the future of logistics.

• You’ll care about building reusable systems, based on best practices within usability, accessibility, performance, and aesthetics.

• You’ll have a passion for critically assess and drive the development of our frontend stack.

• You’ll be comfortable with, and live by “freedom with responsibility”.

Requirements 📝

• Eagerness to learn and grow as a curious and collaborative frontend engineer

• You should know how to build products using a modern web development framework. We use React / Styled components / Node.js. / ...

• You are comfortable with all of the fundamental web development technologies (JS, HTML, CSS, etc.)

• You understand browsers and the DOM and can solve cross-browser compatibility issues, optimize for client-side performance, and build responsive designs (based on design systems)

• You’ve used modern tools to build sites: e.g. CSS preprocessors, bundlers, testing frameworks, etc.

• You're encouraging and caring as a team member, participating in design and code reviews, helping/pushing yourself and others to make the team better, happier and stronger.

• Preferably built and shipped solutions for a SaaS/Web product.

• 2+ years industry experience

It’s a plus if you have 😀

• Worked with and understand the value of Design Systems

• An interest for UX Processes and the nitty gritties of User Interfaces
