Mavenoid is a human-friendly, intelligent troubleshooting system. It’s AI for helping people fix machines, with super-human speed and accuracy. Our cloud-based platform is used by industrial organizations to repair everything from robotic lawn mowers to military tanks. Your first project will be one you'll remember 30 years from now: to reimagine troubleshooting, making repair of complex technical systems as accessible as email.
ROLE
We’re looking for an exceptional frontend software engineer with visual design and UX sensibilities. You will help us challenge every assumption about troubleshooting, and build software at scale that empowers people to repair things.
You should love working on hard problems and be able to build a version 1 of almost anything in a week. You have probably tinkered with React and Docker.
The founders are ex-Palantir, ex-Google, and experts in statistical machine learning and machine diagnosis. You’ll take ownership of the front-end, working closely with the founders and others on turning the platform into the best troubleshooting service in the world.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Innovate on ways Mavenoid makes troubleshooting as accessible as email
- Solve hard problems such as visualization/analysis of diagnostic data
- Work closely with the other founders to make new features in the machine learning platform come alive for users
- Own the user experience
- Get out of the building and work closely with users
QUALIFICATIONS
- You have tinkered with React or are able to pick it up in a week or two
- You have a track record of building things that you can show us
- You are able to build impactful software and demonstrate value quickly
- You can solve a wide breadth of problems in much more direct or elegant ways than most
- You are intellectually curious and honest
- You are able to learn new concepts and technologies on a weekly basis
- Bonus: You are strong at visual design and/or UX design
- Bonus: Experience in Illustrator, InDesign, and/or Photoshop
- Bonus: You have some experience in Python
